Asbestos mandatory training - Dangerous goods awareness

11 Aug 2017

Health and Safety law says that EVERYBODY involved in any way in the transport of bagged asbestos waste in any quantity must be trained in dangerous goods transport awareness, which must be relevant to their job. As well as everyone loading fibrous asbestos into skips, this also includes drivers moving exempt loads (all other drivers must hold an ADR licence) and crew travelling in the same vehicle as fibrous asbestos waste, as well as management, supervisors, admin staff and storemen.

To help you to achieve compliance for all relevant staff, we are holding a one day course on Monday 2nd October at the ARCA Training Centre in Rayleigh. Costs are £140 + VAT per delegate, which includes lunch. Certificates are valid for two years and will be issued to all delegates.

Please contact us for a booking form.

We believe that this is the only course available which complies with the H&S legislation (referred to as ADR 1.3) which is tailored for the asbestos and demolition industries. It relates to the transport of asbestos (whether it is to be transported in a van or placed in a skip for carriage by others) and is not covered in the standard operative, supervisor and management training.

Please contact us if you have any questions regarding this mandatory training.
